Absolutely yes. You are protected and have every right to take your car to any auto repair shop for routine maintenance and it will not affect your warranty at the dealership. This is protected by law.

Dealers do not have a monopoly on repairing their products – independent garages have fair access to the same technical information that franchised dealers and car manufacturers cannot require as a warranty condition that service and repair be performed by their own dealers.

Yes, we can do all of your regular maintenance and service, keeping your factor warranty intact. However, the dealer must perform warranty and factory recall work. Only the dealer will perform this work at no cost to you. MCI can do any other work you may need. It makes sense for you to use the dealership when they are paying for the work, or when it is “free” work.

Regular maintenance is important for health and for the system to function efficiently. Up to 15% of the refrigerant gas will be lost each year.

  • Run your air conditioning at least once a week throughout the year.
  • Have the refrigerant gas checked regularly and fill it up to the levels recommended by the manufacturers.
  • Help improve hygiene and air quality by regularly changing the cabin filter, as it can be clogged with pollen.
  • Regular cleaning of the air ducts helps eliminate bacteria and fungi that can cause unpleasant odors.

Preventive maintenance is regular maintenance of your vehicle that helps your automobile run efficiently and eliminate potential problems that can leave you stranded. Manufacturers know that a well-maintained car will be more reliable, safer, last longer, and increase your satisfaction with their product. Preventive maintenance includes:

  • Tune-up or maintenance / replacement of spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor.
  • Replacing the air filters

  • Differential gear oil change (s)
  • Gearbox oil change
  • Routine pipe inspection
  • Battery maintenance
